I almost forgot to tell you about another of the upcoming chamber series works that Dr. Wadsworth leaked to me. Show up for tomorrow afternoon’s program III at 1:00, and you’ll hear (among other things) Franz Schubert’s Auf dem Strom , a lovely song for voice, horn and piano. Tenor Paul Groves will do the singing — and if you’ve read the raves that both Robert and I have given him from the first two programs (below), you know he’s something special. French horn wizard Eric Ruske will participate, as well as piano master Stephen Prutsman. And there will be three other special numbers … that shall remain nameless. Never fear — you’ll like ‘em.
