Well, Spoleto may be history for this year, but the musical action’s not over yet. Esteemed local musicians Rob and Mary Taylor are staging their Taylor Music Festival this week, hard on the heels of Spoleto. This very different and enjoyable event presents the unusual combination of Choral Music and Celtic Music, and offers both world-class concerts all week – plus multi-level instruction in Choral and solo singing, Suzuki violin, and Celtic music-making. Appearing in concert, Tuesday through Friday, will be (respectively) the internationally renowned Celtic ensemble Ferentosh, our own popular & perky bunch of youthful Celtic fiddlers, Na Fidleiri, an evening with Liz Carroll and John Doyle, and the Taylor Festival Choir.
